Where to Buy Gucci in Tokyo: Flagships, Department Stores and Pre-Owned Options

Deciding where to buy Gucci in Tokyo is mostly a question of what you want from the visit: the widest current collection, a quick stop near other shopping, an outlet price, or a discontinued style from the resale market. Tokyo covers all four.

The two Ginza flagships

Gucci Namiki

Gucci Namiki, at 6-6-12 Ginza, opened on 29 April 2021 on Namiki-dori, the street where the brand first set up in Japan in 1964. The interior uses bamboo-inspired materials developed for the store. The third floor is the Gucci Apartment, an appointment-only space for made-to-order and personalisation, and the fourth floor houses Gucci Osteria da Massimo Bottura. Published hours at opening were 11:00 to 20:00.

Gucci Ginza

The older flagship stands on Harumi-dori at 4-4-10 Ginza and opened in November 2006. It is a short walk from Ginza Station and from the department stores around the Ginza 4-chome crossing.

If Gucci is one of several brands on your list, both stores fit naturally into the route in our Ginza luxury shopping guide.

Shibuya

Gucci has boutiques in two Shibuya complexes: RAYARD MIYASHITA PARK, where the operator lists Gucci alongside Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and Prada, and Shibuya PARCO. Both are a few minutes from Shibuya Station and suit a visit combined with other Shibuya shopping.

Airports and outlets

  • Haneda Terminal 3 has a Gucci boutique after security, listed by the airport with hours of 07:30 to 22:00.
  • Narita Terminal 2 also lists a Gucci boutique after security.
  • Gotemba Premium Outlets, about 95 minutes from Shinjuku, has a Gucci outlet store. Outlet stock is not the same as boutique stock.

Airport boutiques carry a narrower range and you will be short of time. Use them for a known item, not for browsing.

Which channel suits which buyer

You want Go to Check first
The full current collection Gucci Namiki or Gucci Ginza Whether the item and size are in stock at that store
Personalisation or made-to-order Gucci Namiki Appointment availability
A quick purchase near other shops Shibuya boutiques or a department store counter That the category you want is carried there
A lower price on past-season goods Gotemba Premium Outlets Travel time against the saving
A discontinued style, such as an older Jackie An established resale store Condition notes, guarantee and return terms

Buying pre-owned Gucci

Gucci has a long archive, and styles such as the Jackie, the Bamboo handle bag and older GG canvas pieces appear regularly in Tokyo’s resale stores. Age brings specific issues: canvas coating that has become sticky, dried or cracked leather trim, replaced hardware. Read the written condition notes, ask what has been repaired, and compare the same model across stores. Our guides to Tokyo’s pre-owned stores and Japanese condition grades cover the process.

Before you visit

  • Check store hours and stock with Gucci directly. Boutique hours change, and the hours above are those published at the time of each source.
  • Bring your passport if you intend to shop tax-free, and read how the system changes on 1 November 2026 in our tax-free guide.
  • Know the product name and code. It saves time at the counter.

Frequently asked questions

Is Gucci cheaper in Japan?

It depends on the exchange rate, the tax-free position and duty in your home country on the day. Compare the tax-inclusive yen price with your home price for the same product code.

Do I need an appointment?

Not for general shopping. The Gucci Apartment at Gucci Namiki is by appointment.
